A Capo Palinuro the Cave of Blood and Silver Cave | Traveling Easy

The Blood Cave is located nearCala Lantern, that part ofCapo Palinurolooking southwest, this cavity is betweenPunta SpartiventoePunta Mammone.

LaBlood Caveowes its name impressive color of interior walls, lit by a stunning red color that reflected at the sea the color of a reddish tinge to great effect. Of particular interest within theCave are the limestone formations, these include a mention in shape much like ashelland another just above the sea level that recalls thehead of a crocodile.

The Silver Cave instead is located in an area of Cape Palinuro south-facing, called Cala Lantern, delimited da Pgreased Spartiventoe Pgreased mammone. LaSilver Cavetakes its name from an 'intense silver color that is reflected on the water. This phenomenon occurs because the sea water, strong blue hue is mixed with the densestsulphurous. In fact, this cavity is characterized by the presence of at leasttwo sulfur springs.

Inside the cave you can see different drapeggi calcareousstalactitesestalagmites: very features are the limestone formations in the shape ofMadonnae diditoand limestone columnsinterior wall.
