Hot Air Balloon Rally at Caravino | Traveling Easy

Sunday 31 October and Monday 1 November 2010, by 9.30 all 17.00, the sky above the Castle of Masino, wonderful properties of the FAI – Italian Environment Fund to Caravino (TO), again host for the fourth consecutive year “Hot Air Balloon Rally” organized by Team Charbonnier Balloon Aosta.

In Castle Park there will be many balloons – from Italy, France and Switzerland – their crews will compete in exciting races and chase away the sky, that all spectators can watch from land. For those who want it before the race, may also watch the colorful balloons inflate – a ritual of great fascination for the little ones – and experience the thrill of boarding the basket where the passengers are accommodated. Among the many proposals competitions, one of the most spectacular is definitely the one call “Fox Hunting“, call in which a balloon “fox” take off and all the other riders will launch its pursuit.
This year too Masino you can admire a very special balloon – the largest balloon Italian that can hold up 10 passengers – which will be conducted by a pilot as special: Igor Charbonnier, two-time Italian champion of balloon flight and 8 th place at World Air Games 2009.

For a lucky few will have the opportunity not only to make an exciting flight in the sky above the castle but also the, unique, to taste, Once the balloon is raised in the air, typical Piedmontese dishes and toast with the excellent local wine. This unique opportunity will only be possible for the site before we booked .

Sunday and Monday, starting at 11.00 all 17.00 young and old can attend a fun and informative show of falconry, by Title “The World in Ali”, that will allow to get close and see some of the most popular in-flight air predators.

Also lots of initiatives for children and teens: over the competition “Draw a predator of the skies” during the two days will be organized numerous recreational and educational laboratories “nonstop”, including a workshop for construction of tube kites shaped like animals, to achieve a curious flying objects spinning and a special laboratory topography in the form of treasure hunting, by Associazione Sportiva Masino Castle OUTDOOR.
also, in conjunction with the event “Hot Air Balloon Rally” Association Masino Castle OUTDOOR, in collaboration with the School of off-road cycling and mountain biking and Assomaestri – National Association of Professional Teachers of Italian Cycling Federation MTB, organizes two days to promote outdoor sports within the park of the Castle of Masino. On this occasion it will be done free trial of the school field or skill with North Shore bike park wood (wooden walkways with bumps and small jumps) under the guidance of the local school with the possibility of free MTB mountain bike association Masino Castle OUTDOOR. For those who wish to book a lesson in collective MTB masters are available on site.

More will be set up in a typical market and some food stands - with the possibility of tastings – of local products and crafts of the area of Canavese that visitors can enjoy the “Friendship Table”.
