Free admission to the Women's Day | Traveling Easy

On the occasion of Women's Day, scheduled for Tuesday 8 March 2011, The BAP Superintendent of Salerno and Avellino derogate from the customary closing Certosa di Padula and allow free entry to all women. The initiative to keep open the monument, during the closing day, was wanted by new Superintendent, Gennaro Miccio,found that the adhesion (albeit at the last moment, ndr) nearly all staff in the Certosa ready to retrieve the weekly rest at a later date. The monument is visited by 9.00 / 20.00 (last admission at 19.00).

MiBAC (Ministry of Heritage and Culture) joining the International Women's Day, intended to celebrate the couple Donna and Art: a combination of inspiration for painters, sculptors, musicians and all those who over the centuries have identified the female figure a muse for their work. They are also many women who have been able to express and, firsthand, their artistic talents, overcoming prejudices and social barriers.
