It is on the Christmas tree in St. Peter's Square. The spruce and 'high 26 m,comes from a valley in South Tyrol, and is ideally delivered to the Pope by a local delegation of about 300 people, received at the Vatican.
E’ was cut in a wood 1500 meters above sea level on an estate near Lüsen, Municipality 1500 inhabitants in the Province of Bolzano. Now the Christmas tree, weighing 5 t, faces the Vatican basilica. The Pope also thanked those present for having brought to Rome, ”traditional costumes, Christmas music and local cuisine” of loroterra.
