Comes to tenth edition of the International Festival of Sacred Music Anima Mundi, Abbiati Italian critics award. Sir John Eliot Gardiner for editing 2010 has developed a Program through five centuries of sacred music, a steep path masterpieces, news, rediscovered, able to tell the evolving forms of expression and artistic results, Vespers of the Blessed Virgin by Claudio Monteverdi (compounds in 1610), to track the young Jerome Deraco, winner of 2010 the composition competition organized by Anima Mundi.
In the seven events that develop from 15 September to 1 October, tribute to the anniversaries of some great Italian composers - with Claudio Monteverdi, Carlo Gesualdo, Giovan Battista Pergolesi, Bernardo Pasquini, Luigi Cherubini - joins the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Igor Stravinsky, Sergei Rachmaninov. Bach talks with his contemporary, whom he greatly admired Pergolesi, Stravinsky was inspired by the personality of Gesualdo and delivers the personal baroque music on the horizon of modernity.
